Art classes at Paper.Scissors.Cake. are designed to be fun and educational, allowing children to explore and expand their creativity in a safe, non-competitive environment, while learning about the elements of art, art history, famous artists from the past and present, various art mediums, and proper use of art materials.
Paper.Scissors.Cake. Art Studio offers art classes that meet once a week for 7 weeks. Our art classes run through the school year (following the Cherokee County school calendar) beginning in August and ending in May. An annual registration fee of $25 per family is charged at the time of enrollment. This fee is non refundable or transferable. When you enroll your child, the annual registration fee and current session’s tuition are due. Your tuition covers all art materials: no extra charge during the year!
You may enroll at any time in any class (prorated tuition will be calculated), space permitting. Classes begin week of August 21st.

Let’s Create Class
Ages 4-6 year olds
Wednesdays @ 3:30-4:30 pm
Min. Participants needed: 6
Max class size: 10
Cost: $155 for 7 classes
This fun, fanciful art class for ages 4-6, is perfect for the newly independent artist. Children will explore new materials and have some messy fun creating their sweet little hearts out. Not for the faint of {glitter} heart.

Let’s Draw Class
Ages 6-8 year olds
Thursdays @ 3:30-4:30 pm
Min. Participants needed: 6
Max class size: 10
Cost: $130 for 7 weeks

Cost: $160 for 7 classes
OOOHHH, painting is my favorite! This class, geared towards painters 6-10 years of age, will focus on a little technique and a whole lot of painting projects. Painters will explore multiple paint mediums and tools while creating fantastic frame worthy masterpieces. We cannot promise that your child will not paint a mustache on themselves. {snicker}

Let’s Draw Class
Ages 10-15 years old
Wednesdays @ 6:16-7:15 pm
Min. Participants needed: 4
Max class size: 10
Cost: $130 for 7 classes
*This class does require a one time materials fee of $15.
This class, geared towards artists 10-15 years of age, will focus on improving drawing skills through an understanding of techniques, composition, perspective, and drawing vocabulary. In order to get the most benefit from a class such as this, we recommend beginning in August and continuing through the year, this is definitely a build upon class.

Let’s Make Mixed Media Class
Ages 7-10 year olds

Cost: $160 for 7 classes
Those two words are music to our ears here at PSC art studio and this class geared towards ages 7-10 will be singing praises for their own fabulous artwork that students will be proud to display. Paint, cloth, paper, wood.. it will all be used, along with a heavy dose of creative freedom. Our SEE, THINK, CREATE approach will also be utilized during this class.

Advanced Artists – Let’s Make More Art
Ages 10-15 years old
Thursdays @ 6:15-7:15 pm

Max class size: 12
Cost: $165 for 7 classes
Following the theme of our, “let’s make” class, “let’s make more” is geared towards tweens and teens, ages 10-15. Continuing with mixed media projects, artists will embark on more advanced skills like printmaking and sculpture within their works. Artists will be encouraged to value their own individuality and let that shine though in their artworks.

Homeschool Art
Ages 5 -10 years old
Thursdays @ 1:00-2:00 pm
Min. Participants needed: 5
Max class size: 10
Cost: $120 for 7 classes
(Due to the decreased price, we will not be able to offer sibling discounts)
Let them run wild with their own imaginations while also being exposed to contemporary and historical artists and the elements of art, in our homeschool art class geared towards artists 5-10 years of age. This class is also great for socialization as children will experience the SEE, THINK, CREATE approach.

The studio will be open to the public most Fridays during the school year from 1-6pm. {in the event of a private event booking, we will post no open studio on Facebook that day}
This will include the NEW toddler play and create room being open for non instructional, parent led crafting and exploring.
